Hello,
I have noticed that the American media is extremey bias on their reporting. For instance, if you turn on the BBC, you will hear the real news. Two f15 fighter jets went down yesterday in the Gulf of Mexico, and I didn't see it on any of the major media outlets such as NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN, or ABC. This is not only about this issue. There have been a couple of others. Any thoughts?

The media only reports what they think you want to hear, and it's usually the same stories over and over. they also take a story and make it bigger than it really is.

Yes, the American government
Yes, the American government wants everyone to believe that we can do no wrong and that we're not trying to scrue things up even worse then they are now. I dunno about anyone else's
I dunno about anyone else's media, but here in America, the news is not about reporting the truth, but about reporting things that are spectacular or unexpected in order to promote itself and to sell advertising time. To me, it's just another show and should probably not be taken seriously or as the truth. People claim the media are biased towards certain political points of view, such as liberalism, but I think the bias is towards what sells and what will get people to react, and also to feel good about themselves in a way. I also expect any country's media will do anything to make their own country look good despite itself I suppose because that's how nationalism works. I can't really back up much of what I'm saying with facts, but it's just my impression of how I see things.
