Blind Planet

Have you ever considered all of the disadvantages we as blind individuals have in the world?
Well, I have and I think the world needs to finally come out and appologize for all of the unjust treatment they have forced us to endure over the years.
We are expected to be contributing members of society, even though society doesn't care OR understand the hardships we have to endure day after day. We can't use our disability as an explanation for our mood because, that would be self-pitty. And, when we try to make changes that could be beneficial to the blind community, we are shot down by ignorant sighted people who are looking for an easy fix.
In short, being blind in today's world is simply not fair. I mean, when a person in a wheel chair needs a way to get upstairs,, everybody does everyything possible to build an elevator or ramp. But, when a blind person needs a Braille sign to direct them to the stairs, everybody just says that it is too expensive to make signs that only blind people can read. I call this Handicap discrimination. Don't you agree?
