Hello every one I am writing this forum: because, the blind community is divided. For example there are those who do not want other blind individuals to branch out from the community, use the intelegence God gave them, others to take risks and others feel that blindness is a problem!! They tell you or some one close to you that it is nearly impossible to do certain tasks: because, they are not able to do with out sight!! They consider those who are willing to learn, try new things and accomplished them; to be stuckup, high and mighty, not "on" blind individuals and not femenin!!

Hi as blind ladies we have come a long way from being placed in whore houses, teacheres in a classroom childless and home bodies! We are now out in the real working world being political figures, priestess, camp directors, lawers, models, parents and more!!! Did you know that ACB was started by women, the lighthouse was discovered by a woman and how many organizations are really started and discovered by women???

Hello my name is Rick, I live in the lower part of Sc.
I am very happy to find this great forum and web site.
What I find the hardest about the world, I live in. Is the fact that in my part of the low country it is very isolated and spread out.
With no public tans. To speak of, we that cannot drive have a very hard
time getting around, and it is so hard to talk with and meet knew people.
So I have turned to the Internet for my way of interaction.

Have you ever considered all of the disadvantages we as blind individuals have in the world?
Well, I have and I think the world needs to finally come out and appologize for all of the unjust treatment they have forced us to endure over the years.
