I grew up legally blind until going completely blind five years ago, I have been making an effoort using JAWS a screen reader for windows based operating systems, to learn as much as possible to one day teach blind users of the web and windows some of the inside secrets that I think would be of help to others.

Hi everyone!
I'm not great at writing intros, so I'm going to briefly list the basics here. I'm 22, and i'm a graduate student in the rehabilitation counseling program at the University of Pittsburgh. I'm absolutely obsessed with assistive technology, and I love making new friends. Ok. You can all wake up now. I'm done. Lol! Seriously, though, this site rocks from what I've seen so far, and I hope to learn a lot and offer assistance whenever possible.

I am a writer of fiction. I love mysteries, Star Trek, Agatha Christie and cooking. I am also a diabetic and take 4 insulin injections a day.
